A Tribute to my Little Loves

For all of the human friends and contacts that I have known, none were as loyal, loving, generous of heart, as my pets have been. All of them worked so hard just to please, asking nothing in return but a soft word, a small pat and perhaps a bit of food, if it wasn’t to much trouble.
My pets have shared my joys and my tears. They are a part of me and have helped to make me who I am. When each was called home, my heart bled. I have seen their estactic joys and shared their sorrows when they hurt. Their love is true unconditional love that many humans speak of, but hardly ever practice.
Our pets have helped me to raise a family - stayed at my side and shared the grief of losing ‘Dad.’ The years have rolled on and many have also left me, but as each one died, their love still shone from eyes that spoke of many shared memories.
So I give tribute to each of them; for their love and devotion; for being able to share their lives; their good and bad times; for their silly, joyful times and even for the loving experience of their sad times.
Many people have tried to tell me that animals do not have souls and I just ask them have they ever dared to look into the animal’s eyes. For within the eyes, the soul will show. God is the Creator of all things and love is the strongest bond that He gave us. And I know I would rather share Heaven with the animals, than with most humans.

So To: Koko - Leibling - Wolfgang - Sarge - Cuddles - Major - Tina - Kangka and Dash: ‘Guard the gates of Heaven, my loves, til I join you there.’
These are photos of some of my little loves:

Sarge; this handsome prince helped me to raise our son and was his constant companion. (died Mar 1981 but held on, waiting for Jim to come to his side)

Major: Our protector. He just knew that our home was his kingdom and he was the warrior that was picked to protect, even if he had to lick to death anyone invading. (died 1985)

Tina: my little soul-mate. She shared every sorrow and joy for many years, with a comforting love that few humans can know. (died 4-11-94)

Kangka: Thought she was a dog (a wild little kitten that Tina brought home and raised) Ruled our household. (died 5-88)

Dash: She was The brightest spot of love, even though she was a very sick little dog when we got her. She always seemed to have a smile for everyone and made you feel that every day was special (died 4-7-96)

And to my Present Day companions:

Frizbee and Gwenie

Dopey

Gizmo

I say to you,  Thank you for your every moment of shared love and companionship. I treasure you and you are our babies.   Life would be so empty and dull without each of
you and the joy that you give to us....

And for the next addition to our family:

Bennie is a bundle of joy that has turned our household upside down and can charm anyone out of any thing with his big gorgeous brown eyes.... He has
become as important to Frizbee and Gwenie as he has to us.  Dopey
and Gizmo dont care to much for him, though...  smiles.....

And now, we have a new little cuddle bug... His name is Reno
and He sings for us, and even will tremble his chin so his singing
comes out just great..  He is a real little love.  He is an older
dog and has seen some rough days, but he knows he has found a
home with us.  He is a real mommie's boy.
